Byron Town Village Guide Sponsor Terase Davidson

I’m thrilled to be sponsoring the Village Revival Guide.  Being an active part of a vibrant community is not only fun, it’s also important to me personally.  I absolutely love this region and am proud to be representing national real estate brand, The Agency here in Byron Bay. If you are looking to buy or sell property in Byron, please reach out - I’d love to work with you.

MEET TERASE

We caught up with Terase to find out more about working in the Northern Rivers, her latest partnership with The Agency and what she loves most about Byron Bay!

VG: Why do you love working in real estate?
T:   Oh gosh ..... I love it for so many reasons! Mostly though, I love that it sparks joy in me and others. Knowing that I can have a fundamentally life-changing positive impact on the lives of our clients feels good.  Buying and selling property can sometimes be a super stressful process for many people.  So, I try to never lose sight of how it feels to be in the buyer or seller's shoes.”

Q What is the most rewarding part of working in the Northern Rivers?
T: “Oh .... that's easy ...... the people and being part of the community!  The spirit and sense of community here is one to be proud of.  The postcard perfect views and easy coastal lifestyle here are pretty fantastic, don't get me wrong.  BUT it's the people of the Northern Rivers that really make this region truly exceptional.”

Q: Tell us what a day in the life of Terase looks like
T: “Most days I try and go for a swim at Wategos first thing in the morning, I feel this daily ritual really helps me clear my head and sets me up for a great day!  Given the huge variety of homes and size of properties across the region, my day can vary hugely; from being on a 100+ acre farm in my gumboots and bouncing around the paddocks in a Kubota in the morning ...... followed by a quick wardrobe change before heading to an Off-Market appraisal at a beachside property, with world class ocean views ......... to a super cute cottage in town.  Between meetings and staying caffeinated ....... there is also the added fun of often navigating Byron's patchy mobile service ........ lucky I know where to find the good mobile reception areas though!  Making it easy to negotiate contracts and finalise listings and proof-reading marketing content, whilst on the go. But isn't all glamour - let me tell you!  There is also plenty of data management, research, paperwork and cold calling and plenty of rejection too!  I personally love the mix of fun and challenges that working in real estate brings though and that literally .......... no two days are ever the same!  Except for my morning swim at Wategos of course!”

Q: What are some of your favourite places to visit in this year’s Summer Guide?
T: “Oh no you don't!  I'm not walking into that one ........ let's just say .......... I have way too many favourites to list!  Seriously though, we are so incredibly blessed with such a vast array of local businesses who are incredibly talented at what they do.  I feel super lucky to call many of the local business owners friends and love to support as many local businesses as possible.  So much so, that when Mon asked me if I wanted to sponsor the Village Guide Revival - it was a pretty easy yes for me!”

Q: Tell us more about your partnership with The Agency
T: “I recently joined The Agency, because I wanted to be part of a truly national real estate brand to best service our clients here in Bryon Bay and the surrounds.  The Agency is a market leader and is renowned for their innovation, investing in people, technology and truly harnessing a collaborative culture across the entire group.  So, whether I'm listing properties in Byron or looking to help a local family move interstate.  It's fantastic to know that from Byron, I can leverage off the national and global reach of The Agency to provide the best outcomes for our local clients - and that's a pretty good feeling!”

Q: What stands the Northern Rivers property market aside from the rest of Australia?
T: “The Northern Rivers region is absolutely huge and, in my mind, far too vast an area to consider as one market place.   So, let's focus on the Byron market, and how it is made up of lots of different micro markets.  Let's take Suffolk Park for example, on one side of Alcorn Street ie the ocean side where home owners can walk through their back gate straight onto the beach!  The perception of value and price here is considerably higher than the opposite side of the same street!  There are plenty of other examples like this throughout the region, and it's just one of the many reasons why I love being able to combine my local knowledge and expertise to give our clients a competitive edge around pricing and marketing strategies.”
